  • October 2014: The D Magazine Best Doctors 2014 list was published this month. We're pleased to have these two CIVA doctors named the Best in Cardiology in 2014: Dr. Charles Levin, and Dr. Tony S. Das. This is the sixth year in a row for each of these doctors to get this recognition!
  • October 2014: The Triad Leadership of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas recognized Dr. Charles Levin for being rated in the 95th percentile in the nation for patient satisfaction. This score is based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems surveys which is facilitated by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
  • September 2014: CIVA Volunteers at the American Heart Association event in Rockwall, TXOn Saturday, 27 September 2014, CIVA was a corporate sponsor of the American Heart Association event in Rockwall, Texas, called The Heart Chase. CIVA is committed to working with organizations like the American Heart Association to promote heart healthy lifestyles.
  • July 2014: Dr. Martin Berk was named by Texas Monthly as one of its 2014 Texas Super Doctors. Dr. Berk was selected for this honor through a rigorous nomination process by the magazine.
  • April 2014: Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas announces that Dr. Charles Levin is one of only two physicians from the medical staff to score a Press-Ganey patient satisfaction score of above 99%.
  • October 2013: CIVA, the Cardiology and Interventional Vascular Specialists, is pleased to announce the addition of our newest cardiologist: Dr. Tulio Diaz will be working in our Rockwall, Greenville and Dallas offices. He is fluent in Spanish and caters to a Hispanic clientele.
  • August 2013: American Heart Association President interviews CIVA's Dr. Tony S. Das about the cardiac stent he recently placed in former President George W. Bush. The story can be found on Heart.org.

    2013 Texas Monthly Super Doctors: CIVA would like to recognize Dr. Martin Berk for being recognized as a Texas Super Doctor. This award is given to only 5% of the physicians practicing throughout the State of Texas.

  • In December 2012 both Dr. Charles Levin and Nurse Practitioner Shirley Davidoff of CIVA - pictured to the right - ran on a THR relay team in this year's 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon (formerly the Dallas White Rock Marathon). For more details about this run please see our News page.

  • Dr. Saland and Dr. Jain spoke about heart disease prevention and therapy for the Rockwall International Retirees Association of Engineers
  • Dr. Tony Das developed a new procedure to clear femoral artery blockages without the use of contrast dye or X-ray radiation, offering hope to millions of patients who need alternative solutions to treat their peripheral vascular disease. The TUG procedure (Transcutaneous Ultrasound Guided vascular intervention) involves using an ultrasound device on top of the patient's skin to produce images of the arteries and guide the tiny wire travelling inside the arteries to clear the blockage.
     
    Dr. Das performed this innovative procedure live in high-definition to an international audience of cardiologists at the 2009 Annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology in Florida.   • Dr. Tony Das served as live case operator and presenter for TCT: Transcatheter Therapeutics.
  • Dr. Tony Das and Dr. Kenneth Saland are now performing Endovenous Laser Therapy at our Rockwall, Texas office.
